Search for Unclaimed Dividends
Over ₦170 billion in dividends remain unclaimed across Nigeria. Use the official SEC portal to search by your full name. Companies like Dangote Cement, Dangote Sugar, and others have shareholders with unclaimed funds. Results may show namesakes — never assume a match is yours without verifying through the registrar.
Identify Your Registrar
Each company uses an authorized registrar to manage shareholder records. For example, Coronation Registrars handles Dangote Cement, and Veritas Registrars handles Dangote Sugar. Note the registrar beside your name on the SEC search results — they are the only entity authorized to process your dividend claim.
Set Up e-DMMS (Electronic Mandate)
The SEC e-Dividend Mandate Management System (e-DMMS) routes dividends directly to your bank account, eliminating lost warrants. Register through the NIBSS self-service portal or download the mandate form from your registrar's website. Have the form validated by your bank before submitting to the registrar.

Scammers use AI-generated deepfake videos of Aliko Dangote to endorse fake investment platforms. The Dangote Group does NOT own any online investment or crypto scheme. SEC will NEVER request BVN, OTP, passwords, or fees to "release" dividends. Only deal with official SEC, NIBSS, and authorized registrar channels. Report fraud at sec.gov.ng.
